Media Department Students Visit AVA Channel Office in Duhok

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, a group of students from the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, visited the AVA Channel Office in Duhok as part of their scientific trip to the city.

The supervising lecturer and students were warmly received by Ms. Samia Majeed, Social Media Manager at the AVA Office in Duhok, who expressed her pleasure at receiving Media Department students from Cihan University-Erbil.

During the visit, Ms. Majeed provided an overview of the office’s work in representing the voice and image of the people of Duhok, as well as its role in coordinating with AVA Channel’s main office to cover events across the region. She also highlighted AVA Bahdinan Radio as an important part of the AVA Media Group project, noting that it has produced numerous programs, reports, and coverage from the Badinan region despite the limited space and resources available for its operations.

At the end of the visit, the supervising lecturer expressed his sincere gratitude to Ms. Samia Majeed for her warm welcome and for introducing the students to the professional work of the AVA Office in Duhok. He also wished the AVA team continued success in promoting collaboration between media institutions and academic centers.
