Media Department Students Visit GAV TV Digital Media

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, a group of students from the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil visited Gav TV Digital Media in Duhok, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim.

The supervising lecturer and students were warmly received by Mr. Sherzad Nuri, Deputy Director of Gav TV Digital Media, who emphasized the significance of the visit by Media Department students from Cihan University-Erbil. During the visit, he highlighted the institution’s primary mission, which is to convey the voice of the Badinan region and Duhok Governorate, and to produce content in a specialized and professional manner using the local dialect. He also discussed the nature of working in a fully digital media environment. The students were then introduced to the institution’s various sections, including the newsroom, editing, and audio studios. Finally, one of the institution’s productions was presented to the students as a gift.

In conclusion, the supervising lecturer thanked the Deputy Director and the staff of the institution for familiarizing the Media Department students at Cihan University-Erbil with the nature and characteristics of working in a fully digital media environment.
