Medical Biochemical Analysis Department Students Conducted Medical Tests and Delivered a Seminar on AI at Shaheed Kocher High School

On Thursday, February 19, 2025, a group of fourth-year students from the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis at Cihan University-Erbil visited Shaheed Kocher High School under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Jawdat. They were warmly received by Mr. Samir Rostam, the school principal.

During the visit, free medical tests, including blood, blood sugar, blood pressure, and oxygen levels were conducted for the school staff and students. These tests aimed to raise their awareness about basic health monitoring and the importance of early detection of health issues.

Later, a seminar titled The Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Medical Field was delivered to the 12th-grade students. This seminar, which focused on how AI transforms healthcare through advanced diagnostics, robotic surgery, and drug discovery, sparked curiosity among students about the future of AI in medicine.

This visit provided high school students with valuable health insights while introducing them to the revolutionary applications of AI in healthcare. This educational and medical outreach initiative reflects Cihan University-Erbil’s commitment to integrating practical learning with community engagement, ensuring students gain real-world experience while contributing to public health and education.
