Medical Biochemical Analysis Department Students Visit Detergent Company

On Thursday, February 18, 2025, students from the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis at Cihan University-Erbil visited Swiss Rose, Iraq’s largest detergent manufacturing company, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Muhammad Waleed and Assistant Lecturer Akram Rostamina.

The visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical industry applications. Students observed the production process of dishwashing liquids, glass cleaners, and shampoos, learning about raw materials, formulation, and quality control measures.

They toured the raw materials department, where they explored ingredient selection and testing, followed by a visit to the quality control laboratory, where they observed pH measurement, viscosity testing, and density analysis. In the water treatment section, they learned about filtration, chlorination, and ion exchange processes used to purify water before production.

This educational visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world applications in industrial chemistry, quality assurance, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
