Medical Biochemical Analysis Students Conduct Health Screening and Hygiene Awareness Activity at Golden Students School
On Wednesday, 11th February 2026, a group of second-year students from the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis visited Golden Students School in Erbil as part of a scientific and community outreach activity. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Lab Assistant Noor Abdulrahman, and the students were warmly received by the school principal, Mr. Yousif Mhamad.
The participating students were Sidra Shakr, Mihraban Ramyar, Hiba Amjad, Rafal Omer, Abdulhaq Abdulwadud, and Ali Omer, who worked together to provide basic health services and educational activities for the schoolchildren. During the visit, the students performed several essential health screening tests, including blood group determination, blood pressure measurement, and blood sugar testing. Each test was carried out carefully using standard medical procedures, with clear explanations provided to the children about the purpose of the tests and the meaning of the results in a simple and age-appropriate manner.
In addition to the health screenings, the students delivered an interactive presentation on proper handwashing and personal hygiene. They demonstrated correct handwashing steps, explained the importance of cleanliness in preventing infectious diseases, and encouraged healthy daily habits. To reinforce the message, the students distributed small gifts to the children, which helped create an engaging and positive learning environment.
