Medical Laboratory Analysis Department Lecturer Conducts Scientific Visit to Peking University People’s Hospital in China

On Monday, August 10, 2026, Sali Khalil Baqir, Assistant Lecturer in the Medical Laboratory Analysis Department at Cihan University-Erbil, conducted a scientific field visit to Peking University People’s Hospital in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
During the visit, the Cihan University-Erbil lecturer toured various hospital departments alongside participants in the ‘International Training Course on Screening, Early Diagnosis, and Treatment of Cervical Cancer for Developing Countries.’ The visit provided an overview of the hospital’s work and training systems, with particular attention to the role of nursing staff in the Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Department and their academic and professional expertise.
The participants also explored several specialized areas, including intravenous therapy, assisted reproductive technology (ART), midwifery, and oncology nursing. The visit further highlighted the use of electronic services to provide medical consultations and facilitate remote patient follow-up, contributing to the continuity of medical care.
The field visit provided a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the integration of clinical care, education, and professional training. The participating lecturers learned about contemporary approaches to developing healthcare skills and delivering effective reproductive health services and maternal care.
At the end of the visit, the participants exchanged scientific knowledge and expertise with Chinese specialists and discussed proposals to enhance clinical training and strengthen medical and cultural exchange.
