Medical Laboratory Analysis Department Lecturer Participates in a Cultural Visit to the Great Wall of China

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, as part of the cultural activities accompanying the international training program held in the People’s Republic of China, Assistant Lecturer Sally Khalil Baqer from the Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis at Cihan University-Erbil, accompanied by other program participants, took part in a cultural visit to the Great Wall of China, one of the most prominent historical and cultural landmarks in China and around the world.
The visit included a tour of sections of the Great Wall, during which the participants explored the distinctive architectural features of this historic landmark and learned about its significance as a testament to important periods in Chinese history. They also gained a deeper understanding of its cultural and historical importance and its status as one of the world’s most renowned heritage sites.
The visit provided participants with an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of Chinese civilization while experiencing the natural scenery and mountainous landscapes surrounding the Great Wall. In addition, they learned about efforts to preserve this historic heritage and promote awareness of its significance for future generations.
The visit also allowed participants from different countries and cultural backgrounds to interact and exchange impressions and experiences beyond the framework of scientific lectures and field visits, adding a valuable cultural and social dimension to the training program.
The visit formed part of the cultural program accompanying the training course, which combines scientific training with cultural exchange and provides participants with opportunities to explore some of the most significant historical and cultural landmarks of the People’s Republic of China. It also promotes communication, mutual understanding, and the exchange of experiences among participants from different countries.
