Medical Laboratory Analysis Department Lecturer Participates in a Scientific Seminar on Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery in the People’s Republic of China
On Saturday, August 15, 2026, Sally Khalil Baqer, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis at Cihan University–Erbil, participated in a specialized scientific seminar on technological innovation, education, and training in endoscopic and robotic surgery. The seminar was held as part of the activities of the China-Africa Hospitals Alliance in the People’s Republic of China.
The participants were received by Hu Sanyuan from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University and Head of the Joint Working Group of the China-Africa Hospitals Alliance on Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery. He delivered the opening remarks, followed by a scientific presentation on the current status of endoscopic and robotic surgery in China and opportunities for China-Africa cooperation in this field.
The program included specialized scientific lectures addressing the clinical applications of single-port robotic surgery in gynecology, international medical and technical training, and the clinical applications of hysteroscopy and related international training programs. The sessions featured specialists from several hospitals and medical institutions.
The seminar also included an open discussion between Chinese and African experts, focusing on the exchange of experiences and expertise in medical and surgical fields, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation in modern surgical technologies, medical education, and professional training.
