Medical Laboratory Analysis Department Lecturer Participates in Scientific Activity in the People’s Republic of China

On Monday, August 10, 2026, Sali Khalil Baqir, Assistant Lecturer in the Medical Laboratory Analysis Department at Cihan University-Erbil, participated in a specialized scientific seminar held at the conference hall of the New Century Hotel in Beijing.
The seminar was conducted as part of an international training course on cervical cancer screening, early diagnosis, and treatment for developing countries. Dr. Jingran Li from the Peking University People’s Hospital in Beijing, delivered the seminar, focusing on recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal changes in epithelial cells.
The seminar also addressed the classification of cellular changes and the mechanisms of disease progression, emphasizing the importance of early detection in preventing progression to advanced stages. In addition, the participating experts discussed HPV-independent cellular changes to support more accurate diagnoses and the selection of appropriate treatment plans for individual cases.
The seminar also highlighted several contemporary diagnostic and treatment techniques, including CO₂ laser therapy and photodynamic therapy. The presenter shared clinical videos and examples demonstrating the application of these techniques and their potential to improve treatment outcomes.
The activity concluded with scientific discussions among experts and participating lecturers, focusing on the exchange of clinical knowledge and professional experiences. At the end of the seminar, the participants shared observations on applying these experiences in their home countries, highlighting the importance of continued scientific cooperation and coordination.
