Medical Microbiology Department Students Participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop at Salahaddin University–Erbil

On October 12, 2025, a group of fourth-year students from the Department of Medical Microbiology at Cihan University–Erbil participated in a workshop held at the College of Law, Salahaddin University–Erbil.

The workshop, titled “Standing Together Against Breast Cancer,” was delivered by Professor Dr. Abbas Salihi, a distinguished academic and medical expert. During the workshop, he highlighted the importance of early detection, community awareness, and lifestyle modification in reducing the risk of breast cancer. He also emphasized the vital role of medical students in promoting public health and supporting community awareness initiatives.

Additionally, students from various universities actively participated in discussions, sharing their views on preventive health strategies. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity for the Medical Microbiology Department students to broaden their medical knowledge and reinforce their commitment to community service through collaborative academic engagement.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants expressed their appreciation to Prof. Dr. Abbas and the College of Law for hosting the event and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting public health awareness campaigns and standing together against breast cancer.
