On Monday, October 12, 2026, second- and third-year students from the Medical Microbiology Department at Cihan University-Erbil visited PAR Hospital in Erbil. They were accompanied by Dr. Khawaja Shakeel Ahmed, Assistant Professor in the aforementioned department.

Upon arrival, the students were received by Ms. Dilgash Hayder Sedia, a former student of the Medical Microbiology Department at Cihan University-Erbil, who is currently a laboratory technician.

During the visit, Mr. Dana Sami Hamid, a laboratory technician at the hospital, introduced the students to the hospital’s different laboratories and informed them of their respective functions and operations. They gained an overview of the laboratory facilities and the services provided within the hospital.

The visit also provided them with an opportunity to observe the hospital laboratory setting and learn about the organization of various laboratory sections.

Additionally, the activity familiarized them with the practical work environment of the laboratory under the guidance of the laboratory technician in charge and their accompanying academic supervisor.
