Physical Education Department Students from Cihan University–Erbil Visit the Sports Institute in Erbil

The Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Cihan University–Erbil organized a scientific visit to the Sports Institute in Erbil on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. A group of students participated under the supervision of Dr. Zaman Saleh Hassan and Assistant Lecturer Ahmad Said Ahmad.

During the visit, the delegation was warmly received by Dr. Sherwan Khusro, Director of the Sports Institute in Erbil, who welcomed the students and praised the strong academic and athletic collaboration between the two institutions. He emphasized the importance of such visits in promoting experience exchange and enhancing students’ practical skills.

The program included a field tour of the institute’s facilities, where students were introduced to classrooms, training areas, and the various educational and training programs offered in different sports disciplines.

At the end of the visit, a friendly handball match was held between the students of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences and those of the Sports Institute. The game reflected sportsmanship, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition.

Finally, the supervisors and students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the institute’s administration for the warm welcome and excellent organization. They affirmed that such visits strengthen scientific and practical cooperation between academic sports institutions and help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of physical education and sport sciences.
