Poland__The President of Cihan University-Erbil signs a memorandum of understanding with the University of Lodz, Poland
During the Cihan University-Erbil delegation visit to Poland, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi signed an agreement of understanding with the University of Lodz.
On Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil and his accompanying delegation visited the University of Lodz and met with Prof. Dr. Hab. Lukasz Bogucki, Vice Rector for International Relations.
In the meeting, they discussed how to develop academic relations between the two universities. In this regard, the president of Cihan University-Erbil thanked the staff of Lodz University, Poland for their active participation in the 4th International Conference on Administrative and Financial Sciences at Cihan University-Erbil. He invited the President of the University of Lodz to visit Cihan University-Erbil.
In another part of the meeting; Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil, and Prof. Dr. Lukasz Bogucki, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Lodz University signed an agreement of understanding. According to the agreement, 25 students from Cihan University-Erbil will visit the University of Lodz for two weeks to participate in a special course. The students are scheduled to visit the University at the end of June of this academic year. Meanwhile, a number of lecturers from Cihan University-Erbil will visit the same university for two weeks to teach there.
According to another point of the agreement, a delegation of administrative and admission staff of Cihan University-Erbil will visit the same university at the end of June 2023, in order to get acquainted with the administrative system and admission procedures in Polish universities.
Other points of the agreement are related to the continuation of joint scientific conferences, and the establishment of research groups among colleges, and departments based on different specialties. It was also discussed how to assist graduates of Cihan University-Erbil to complete masters and doctoral studies through Erasmus-plus and Erasmus Mundus programs.
After signing the agreement, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi in a speech thanked the University of Lodz and hoped that this agreement would open the door to opportunities for more scientific activities and services for both sides.
