Professor Dr. Amjad S. Al-Delawi President of Cihan University-Erbil, Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Eagle Post to Enhance Student Services
In a significant move to streamline administrative processes for its student body, Cihan University-Erbil signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eagle Post for postal and delivery services. The signing ceremony took place today, Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Presidency Office of Cihan University-Erbil.
The MoU was formally signed by Professor Dr. Amjad S. Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, and Dana Shamsaddin, Representative of Eagle Post Company. The primary objective of this collaboration is to provide fast, secure, and reliable postal services for both students and the wider community.
According to the terms of the agreement, Eagle Post, a recognized partner of the Kurdistan Regional Government, will serve as the official and exclusive courier for the transportation of all official documents and paperwork for Cihan University-Erbil. This service will extend to students and citizens both within and outside the Kurdistan Region, providing a major facilitation for students residing outside Erbil or in other Iraqi governorates. This initiative is a key component of the university’s broader strategy for digitalization and accelerating the processing of transactions for the entire university community, with a special focus on its students.
The operational mechanism is founded on modern technology. Cihan University-Erbil will be provided with a dedicated corporate account on the Eagle Post smart platform and application (available on İOS & Android). Through this system, the university can register requests, print barcoded forms for packages, and monitor the delivery stages of mail and documents in real-time (online). Furthermore, recipients will be required to verify their identity and provide a digital signature upon receipt, a measure that significantly enhances the level of security and data protection.
Professor Dr. Amjad S. Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, described the signing of this MoU as a crucial and strategic step within the university’s vision to advance its services. “Our main goal is not only to elevate our academic and scientific standards but also to provide complete facilitation for our beloved students and to secure a contemporary and advanced learning environment for them,” he stated. “This agreement will reduce bureaucracy and digitalize a vital part of our operations, directly serving the delivery of official documents in a secure and swift manner.” He emphasized that Cihan University-Erbil’s doors are always open to strengthening relationships that serve the educational process and the cultivation of an educated and capable generation.
This strategic partnership not only offers an advanced service to the students of Cihan University-Erbil but is also viewed as an important milestone in the development of the postal sector in the Kurdistan Region. Eagle Post, as one of the pioneers in this field and in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Kurdistan Regional Government, reaffirms its commitment to providing reliable and innovative services. The service fees have been set competitively and will be priced in Iraqi Dinar (IQD), with the university also having the option to add its own service charges.
