Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil, meets with the President of the International University – Kuwait to enhance academic cooperation.
On the sidelines of his participation in the 57th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, currently being held in Kuwait, Professor Amjad Sabir Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil, met with Professor Barakat Awad Al-Hadiban, President of the International University – Kuwait.
The meeting discussed ways to bilateral cooperation to enhance academic and research between the two universities. The dialogue focused on establishing joint research groups to implement innovative scientific projects, enhancing research cooperation, and joint scientific publishing in areas of mutual interest. The two parties also discussed the possibility of exchanging faculty members to enrich educational experiences, in addition to jointly developing curricula to keep pace with the latest developments in higher education.
Among the points discussed during the meeting were the possibility of offering joint academic programs, organizing specialized workshops and training courses to develop the skills of faculty members and staff in the fields of academic and institutional management. Both parties also agreed upon providing the opportunity for students from both universities to attend academic courses at the other university through a flexible exchange system that takes into account the regulations and conditions peculiar to each university, which contributes to enhancing students’ academic experiences and expanding their educational horizons.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an official cooperation agreement was signed between Cihan University-Erbil and the International University- Kuwait to implement these axes. A coordinator will be appointed from each university to facilitate the exchange of information and ensure follow-up on joint projects. This cooperation comes within the framework of Cihan University-Erbil’s efforts to strengthen its international academic relations and support excellence in higher education and scientific research.
