Public Administration and Business Administration Students Conduct a Scientific Visit to the Directorate of Labor – Erbil

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, a group of second-year students from the Public Administration and Business Administration departments, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal, conducted a scientific visit to the Directorate of Labor – Erbil. Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by the General Manager, Mr. Fareed Ali Haidar, who provided a brief overview of the directorate and explained its general functions.

The visit aimed to enhance the students’ understanding of the Directorate’s working system through direct observation and interaction with its staff. As part of the program, Ms. Zyan Hussein Mohammed delivered a concise and informative presentation outlining the duties of the Directorate of Labor – Erbil and explaining its organizational structure. She introduced the main departments, including the Administration and Finance Department, Legal Affairs and Contracts Department, Planning and Statistics Department, Labor Inspection Department, Occupational Safety and Health Department, Social Security Department, Vocational Training Department, Employment and Recruitment Department, Human Resources Department, Information Technology (IT) Department, and the Public Relations and Media Department, highlighting the role of each in supporting labor services and workforce development.

In addition, Ms. Kawsar Abdulla, an employee in the Administration Department, highlighted the key administrative functions and responsibilities carried out within the directorate.

The visit concluded with the supervisor and students expressing their sincere gratitude to the Directorate’s staff for their warm hospitality and the valuable information shared during the visit.
