Students from the Department of Architecture, Cihan University-Erbil Conduct Scientific Visit to Quattro Franchise Project Site

On Monday, October 27, 2025, a group of third-year students from the Department of Architecture at Cihan University – Erbil conducted a scientific field visit to the Quattro Franchise Project site. The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ms. Lana Shahab Ahmed.

The students were welcomed by Engineer Saman Bakhtiyar Karim, the site engineer, who provided a detailed explanation of the ongoing foundation and concrete works. He elucidated the stages of excavation, rebar installation, formwork preparation, and concrete pouring, emphasizing the importance of accuracy, adherence to design standards, and site safety during execution. During the visit, the site engineer highlighted the relationship between executive drawings and their real-world application, the significance of understanding foundation layouts, and how site organization and work sequencing contribute to ensuring quality and efficiency. These observations helped the students to better comprehend the structural and spatial requirements of projects.

At the conclusion of the visit, the students learned how to implement foundation plans on site and understood the importance of organizing construction operations to ensure accuracy and quality. The visit also enhanced their understanding of site mechanisms and foundation works, which will aid them in interpreting executive drawings and applying them in future engineering projects.
