Students from the Department of Interior Design Engineering Conduct a Scientific Visit to Erbil World Trade Center

On Monday, October 27, 2025, the fourth-year students from the Department of Interior Design Engineering at Cihan University – Erbil conducted a scientific field visit to the Erbil World Trade Center, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Aws Ahmed Abdulhameed.

The students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Mustafa Ahmed Nabo, the project’s Electrical Engineer, who provided a comprehensive overview of the building’s architectural concept and interior design approach. He explained how the project integrates commercial, administrative, and service functions within a cohesive spatial system, emphasizing the implementation of sustainable building techniques, eco-friendly materials, and smart technologies that enhance energy efficiency and operational performance.

Mr. Mustafa also explained the strategic use of natural light, ventilation, and vertical circulation to improve comfort and functionality. The extensive use of transparent façades and glass partitions was highlighted as a key design element that fosters openness, visual connection, and a modern aesthetic identity.
