Students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics Enhanced Their Clinical Skills at Zheen Private Hospital
On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, third-year students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University-Erbil visited Zheen Private Hospital as part of their academic and professional development. The visit, held under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raghad Abdulsatar, aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to hospital nutrition services and patient dietary management.
During the visit, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed, the management director, warmly welcomed the students. The students had the opportunity to explore various aspects of clinical nutrition within a hospital setting. They observed how nutritionists assess patients’ dietary needs, develop personalized meal plans, and collaborate with medical professionals to enhance patient health outcomes. The visit allowed them to gain valuable insights into the role of clinical dietitians in managing different health conditions through tailored nutritional strategies.
Additionally, the students visited the hospital’s kitchen, where they observed the preparation of patient meals per dietary prescriptions.
