Students from the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences Begin Field Training

Fourth-year students from the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Cihan University–Erbil have begun their practical training in schools, fulfilling one of the core requirements for completing their undergraduate studies.

As part of this program, all fourth-year students were assigned in October 2025 to various governmental and private schools under the direct supervision of the Head of Department, Dr. Ahmed Abd Aoun, with continuous follow-up and guidance from the department’s academic staff.

During the training period, school administrations have provided the trainee students with valuable opportunities to apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills gained throughout their university education. The students are actively involved in teaching different subjects according to the schools’ timetables, allowing them to translate their academic learning into real classroom practice.

This practical training phase is a vital component of the students’ preparation for their future teaching careers. It plays a key role in developing their pedagogical competencies, enhancing their communication and classroom management skills, and strengthening their overall professional abilities.
