Students from the Department of Radiological Imaging Technology Visit Mehrbani Hospital in Erbil

Second-year students from the Department of Radiological Imaging Technology at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific training visit to Mehrbani Hospital in Erbil on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Noor Sami Omar as part of the requirements for the Imaging Instrumentations course.

The students were warmly received by Radiology Technologist Awara Ibrahim Fattah, who guided them on a field tour of the radiology department. During the visit, they learned about the operation of X-ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT) devices, including detailed explanations of each device’s working principles and primary diagnostic applications.

Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to observe how patients are prepared for imaging procedures and how the equipment is operated according to professional standards. This hands-on experience enhanced their understanding of practical applications and connected theoretical knowledge studied in class to real-world medical practice.

At the end of the visit, Radiology Technologist Awara Ibrahim Fattah expressed his appreciation for the students’ active engagement, emphasizing the importance of such visits in refining skills and linking academic knowledge with professional medical practice.
