Students from the General Education Department Conduct Cultural and Awareness Activities at a Kindergarten

In affirmation of the community-oriented role of the General Education Department at Cihan University-Erbil, a group of first-year students)Zhila Hassan, Asin Riyad, Renas Elias, and Sawen Suleiman(under the supervision of the department head, Dr. Ahmed Abd Aoun, and Assistant Professor Shahzad Ramadan, visited Al-Hayat Kindergarten in Erbil.

The students were warmly welcomed by the kindergarten’s director, Mrs. Zaitoun Ali, who introduced them to the facility’s various sections. Subsequently, the students organized a series of cultural and awareness activities for the children, including a theatrical performance, storytelling sessions, and entertaining educational games. These activities lasted three hours and aimed to educate children on the importance of moral values such as honesty, responsibility, security, respect, equality, and helping others.

At the conclusion of the visit, a commemorative gift was presented to the kindergarten’s director on behalf of the General Education Department at Cihan University-Erbil, in recognition of the warm reception and hospitality. In turn, the director expressed her profound gratitude to the students and the department’s leadership for organizing the awareness initiative. She emphasized the significance of such activities in nurturing ethical values among children and expressed hope for similar events in the near future.
