Students of Cihan University-Erbil continue to actively participate in various academic activities.
As part of the ongoing series of topics on climate change presented to the students at the University of Lodz in Poland, another academic session was arranged for the students of Cihan University-Erbil and other participants in the course.
In this instance, Maria Alejandera from Ecuador delivered a presentation titled “Calculating and Reflecting on My Carbon Footprint.” She began by providing a concise overview of the subject to all the participating students. Following that, the students were divided into mixed groups, consisting of individuals from universities in Brazil, Ecuador, Kurdistan, Iraq, Ukraine, and Poland.
Within their respective groups, each student from every country shared insight about sustainable development and discussed its potential negative impacts while also exploring ways to learn from the experiences of other nations in this field.
To conclude the session, the students engaged in a practical activity centered around measuring their individual environmental impact through daily activities. This hands-on experience brought joy to the students and significantly enriched their academic and practical learning endeavors.
