The Department of Biomedical Sciences Conducted an Educational Seminar at Sardam High School
On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, third-stage students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences conducted an educational seminar titled “Eczema: Disease and Prevention” at Private Sardam High School in Erbil. The event, organized under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Bakhtawar Ziad Omer, aimed to enhance public health awareness among high school students.
The students were warmly welcomed by the school director, Mr. Ali Jabbar Sabr, who expressed his appreciation for their initiative in promoting health education. The seminar was held in the school hall, with tenth-grade students participating and engaging attentively with the presenters.
During the session, the students provided a detailed explanation of eczema, covering key aspects such as its definition, causes, and risk factors. They elaborated on the signs and symptoms associated with the condition and highlighted the latest approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Emphasizing the importance of early detection and proper management, the presenters also discussed lifestyle modifications and best practices to reduce the risk of developing eczema. The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session, allowing students to clarify their doubts and gain deeper insights into the topic.
At the end of the seminar, the students presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Ali Jabbar Sabr on behalf of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, expressing gratitude for his support in facilitating the event and promoting health awareness among students.
