The Department of Biomedical Sciences Conducted Educational Visits to the Erbil Public Health Laboratory Directorate.

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, second-year students from the Biomedical Sciences Department at Cihan University-Erbil conducted an academic visit to the Erbil Public Health Laboratory Directorate. The visit was organized under the supervision of Professor Dr. Merza Hamza Homady and Assistant Lecturer Bakhtawar Ziad Omar.

The students were warmly welcomed by the laboratory director and technician, Shadman Kanabi Abdullah. During the visit, they explored various specialized units, including the Hematology, Virology, Bacteriology, and Biochemistry Laboratories.

The students observed the procedures involved in patient reception and diagnostic testing. They were introduced to advanced instruments used in these laboratories and gained an understanding of the specific tests performed by each device. The visit also provided hands-on insights into the procedural workflows and techniques involved in conducting medical tests.

At the end of the visit, Professor Dr. Merza Hamza Homady expressed his gratitude to the laboratory staff for their warm hospitality and invaluable support in facilitating this educational experience. He also commended the students for their active participation and enthusiasm throughout the visit.
