The Department of Business Administration Organized a Scientific Visit to the Decentralized Branch of the General Directorate of Accounting

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, the Department of Business Administration organized a scientific visit to the decentralized branch of the General Directorate of Accounting for third-year students of the department at Cihan University – Erbil.

The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. The students were warmly received by Mr. Falah Abbas Mustafa, Director of Accounting at the decentralized branch.

During the visit, Mrs. Fahmiya Sleman Qadir, Director of the Accounting Department in the Planning Division, explained that the Accounting Administration within the Planning Division is responsible for addressing challenges encountered in daily operations, overseeing government audits, supervising projects, and supporting the development and improvement of the governorate.

Ms. Peri Majid Abdullah, an employee at the decentralized branch, explained to the students that information is initially recorded manually and later systematized after follow-up. She also clarified that each account must have a unique code and that budget analyses must be accompanied by reports detailing expenditures and income, to determine how funds were spent. Additionally, she highlighted the existing and committed allocations within the departments.

Finally, the supervising lecturer expressed gratitude to the decentralized branch of the General Directorate of Accounting for providing this valuable learning opportunity to the students.
