The Department of Business Administration Organizes its First visit to a Nursing Home in Erbil

Within the humanitarian activities of Cihan University- Erbil, the Department of Business Administration organized a visit to the home of the elderly in the Erbil / Nowruz area on 4/13-2021, under the supervision of the Assistant Lecturer Bushra Ali accompanied by a group of third-year students.

The main objective of the visit was t  examine the conditions of the residents in the nursing home for old people, in addition to diverting the interest of the younger generation to the importance of taking care of the elderly and consolidating the importance of the concept of young people’s need for the experiences of the elderly not the opposite, since our society has become full of cases in which younger people put their elderly relatives in nursing homes so that young people can enjoy a life far from the responsibility of taking care for them.

The visit began with a meeting with the manager of the elderly home – Erbil, Mr. Amanj Omar Abdullah, during which the conditions of the residents of the nursery house were discussed, then a tour was made to the women’s and men’s sections of the nursey home to closely examine their conditions and needs, during which all of residethe nts of the old people’s home were very happy and delighted by the visit.

The visit was ended with an agreement with the management to conduct a set of activities that will be implemented during the Ramadan month and beyond to bring more happiness to the residents of the nursing home.
