The Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil Organized a Scientific Visit to the Real Estate Office

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, a group of fourth-stage students from the Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Mr. Saman Hassan Ali visited to the Real Estate Office, located in the Mamostayan neighborhood. The visit aimed to provide students with insights into the practical applications of law and to enrich their understanding of real estate sales and leasing processes.

The students were warmly received by Legal Counselor Mr. Iskandar Latif. During the visit Mr. Latif began his talk by sharing his academic journey and experiences at the university, expressing gratitude for the valuable knowledge he acquired during his studies.

The visit included an engaging and informative session in which legal concepts and real-world practices were actively discussed. Among the key topics addressed were the legal procedures for selling and leasing real estate, the structure and challenges of sales contracts, the stages involved in property transactions, and the responsibilities of both sellers and buyers. Mr. Latif also shed light on common legal issues that may arise after the completion of sales or lease agreements, and explained how such problems can be effectively resolved within the legal framework.

This visit formed an essential part of the students’ coursework in the subject of Civil Contracts. At the end of the visit, the students expressed their sincere appreciation to the Mamostayan Real Estate Office for the warm hospitality and the valuable legal insights provided. They emphasized the importance of such field visits in bridging the gap between academic learning and practical legal application, and in preparing them for the demands of the professional legal field.
