The Department of Law Organized a Scientific Visit to the Erbil Implementation Directorate
On October 23, 2023, the Department of Law organized a scientific visit for fifth-stage students under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Mr. Hisham Hashem to the Erbil Implementation Directorate. They were received by Mrs. Laila Akram, the Director of the department.
The students were briefed on the department’s work, which involves dividing its functions into different divisions, with each division specializing according to the provisions of Implementation Law No. 45 of 1980.
During the visit, Mrs. Laila Akram provided essential information about various types of executive bonds, how to execute them, the legal procedures stipulated in the Implementation Law for enforcing judgments, executive documents, and the practical challenges that implementation directorates face in this regard. Furthermore, the practical division of the implementation directorates in Erbil was explained, and specific responsibilities were assigned to each directorate according to the tasks and bonds they can execute.
In another part of the visit, the students had the opportunity to inspect various sections within the Directorate and gain insights into the functions performed by these divisions, including a visit to the Accounting Division and the Files Preservation Division. Additionally, the students were granted permission to examine the files housed in the Files Division of the Directorate and review their contents.
At the end of the visit, Mrs. Laila Akram provided essential instructions and advice to the students regarding their future careers as lawyers after graduation. She emphasized the importance of understanding the required executive procedures that students should be knowledgeable about and aware of.
