The head of English department was one of the Scholars to participate Fulbright Visiting Scholar Exchange Program

Mr. Akram I. Danial, Head of English Department successfully finished participating the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Exchange Program for Iraq in September 2019 that held at the University of Arkansas, USA.

Mr. Akram was one among 6 Scholars from all the different cities of Iraq. The program lasted for 10 weeks. He got some training in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) where he was introduced to new teaching and research methods, observed classes, attended seminars, and developed linkages with American faculty through weekly mentoring sessions. He had visits to historical sites and attendance at cultural events. The program added a lot to his character and grew him as a better teacher. He could improve his teaching skills being exposed to the American universities and the U.S. Education System.
