The Medical Microbiology Department Students Visited Par Hospital
On Saturday, October 21st, 2023, the 3rd-year students from the Medical Microbiology Department of Cihan University-Erbil had a significant educational visit to Par Hospital under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Ameena Sabah Juma. The aim of this visit was to provide students with practical real-world applications of their theoretical knowledge in the field of medical microbiology. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by Dr. Rawand Polis Shamoon.
The students were guided through the procedures and workings of the Medical Microbiology Department. The visit commenced with an informative briefing on the state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and techniques employed for the identification and analysis of various microorganisms.
The hospital’s microbiologists generously shared their expertise and practical experiences, offering valuable insights into the day-to-day challenges and responsibilities encountered in the field of medical microbiology. Six of the personnel at Par Hospital, who are working in different labs, are Cihan University-Erbil graduates. This demonstrates the high educational standard of Cihan University-Erbil.
The visit ended with the students expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the hospital’s hospitality and the invaluable knowledge shared during the visit.
