Theorizing the Hybrid:A Postcolonial Debate

Assistant lecturer Mr. Salman Adel delivered a seminar entitled ` Theorizing the Hybrid:A Postcolonial Debate` on Thursday,19th of November,2015. The seminar was attended by  staff members of English and Translation departments.

The presentation discusses the concept of Hybridity,the emergence of post-colonial discourse ,its critiques of cultural imperialism and effects upon identity and culture.The presentation also referred to principal theorists of hybridity whose works respond to the multi -cultural awareness that emerged in the early 1990s.
