A seminar entitled: The Application of Social Constructivist Approach to Translator Training Programs
The Asst. Lecturer Sirvan Abdolkhalagh Abdollah from Translation Department, presented a seminar entitled ”The Application of Social Constructivist Approach to Translator Training Programs” in Hall No. 116 on December 19th, 2017. The teaching staff of Translation and English Department and the students of Translation Department attended the seminar.
He discussed that the social constructivist approach to translator training is an up-to-date teaching methodology that is effectively applicable to translating training programs. The current seminar aims at introducing this approach as a substitution to the traditional objectivist approach. Therefore, the differences and advantages of social constructivist approach over objectivist one will be presented, and its design and procedures will be explained as well.
