The preparation of qualified graduates in their field of specialization and the development of teaching staff and the educational process is the goal that the Department of Law at  Cihan University / Erbil aims to achieve, through many scientific activities, that the student fulfill under the supervision of the teaching staff for the purpose of raising the scientific level of students and the legal awareness of the community …According to this, the most notable activates of the law department, for this academic year 2018-2019 were as follows:

1-    Performing a number of a virtual tribunal in accordance with the provisions of administrative Jurisdiction and penal law.

2-    Celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in 12/12/2018.in 12/12/2018.

3-    Organizing a number of visits for the students to the Court of Appeal and the Advisory Council of the region.

4-    Inviting a number of judges of the Court of Appeal to perform lectures on campus to benefit from their practical experience in the issues of civil proceedings and administrative Jurisdiction and the principles of criminal trials.

5-    (12/2/2019) the final session of the annual Jessup International Law Competition was held at Cihan University-Erbil, in cooperation with the committee overseeing the competition.

6-    (3-4/4/2019) Workshop entitled (The relationship between the KRG and the federal government – reality and future) held in the law department.

7-    (17-18 / 4/2019) A workshop was held by the Student of law department-stage three-morning study entitled International organizations.

8-    Publishing a number of research papers by the teaching staff.

9-    Participation of the Law Department’s teaching staff at the first international conference of the University of Agadir – Turkey

10-  Fulfill an awareness campaign entitled the Blue Heart against human trafficking by the first stage’s students.

11- (1/5/2019) Celebrating the International Workers Day, with the workers of the Cihan University-Erbil.
