A Delegation from Cihan University – Erbil visits the Federal Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

On 20 November 2022 (Sunday), a delegation from Cihan University – Erbil visited the Headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad, Iraq. Headed by Prof. Dr. Sobeih Hashem, Assistant Professors Dr. Amina Sabah, Dr. Aboud Muhammad, and Dr. Ahmed Abd Aoun.

The delegation met Prof. Dr. Salah Hadi Al-Fatlawi, Head of the Scientific Supervision Evaluation Authority, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Hamid Ali, Director of Private Education in the ministry, and conveyed the greetings from Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil.

In the meeting, a delegation from Cihan University discussed several information related to the creation of new departments, ways to obtain international academic accreditation for the study programs at the university, the adoption of prestigious German and British academic institutions (ASIC & Zeva), and the adoption of the Bologna Process system in the educational system accredited in many European universities.

In another part of the meeting, several discussions were about the participation in the Erasmus Plus Educational Program of the European Union, ways to obtaining first place in the evaluation scientist and university ranking-AD scientific index, and list of private universities in the Kurdistan region were discussed.

The Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Body and the Director of Private Education commended the university’s efforts in all fields, including its enthusiasm on sustainability in the field of scientific research and academic development.  At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation thanked the Head of the Scientific Supervision Evaluation Authority and the Director of Private Education for providing this opportunity for them and wished them success.
