A Scientific Trip to Nanakali Hospital Involving the Medical Biochemical Analysis Department Students

On Monday, October 16, 2023, the third-stage Medical Biochemical Analysis Department students, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Sawen Tahseen Taha, visited Nanakali Hospital.

They were welcomed by Dr. Harde Jawad Saber, the director of Nanakali Hospital. The students later toured the hospital and donated some amount of money to support the hospital and the patients. They also donated gifts to the departments of children, women, and men with cancer diseases on the occasion of cancer awareness month.

During this trip, the students visited many laboratories of the hospital. Through the supervisor and laboratory staff, the students were also introduced to the ways to use several devices, such as Cobas C 311, Mini Vidas, Cobas e 411, VITEK 2 COMPACT, and CBC for blood tests, immunity, hormones, biochemistry, and blood culturing purposes.
