A scientific Visit to Taajeel District
Architectural Engineering Department at Cihan University-Erbil organized a scientific visit on Monday 10th of February 2020, for fifth-year students according to their required course study (Building Rehabilitation) supervised by (Assist Lecturer Omar Abdulwahhab). The tour included three central locations (Historical Erbil Citadel, Taajeel District and a meeting at Erbil Municipality/1).
The objective of the visit is to develop the ability of the students and suggest new master plans and land use improve the historical and heritage values of their proposed project Taajeel district. In addition to cover three main aspects through making survey, observation and data collection for both planning and urban renewal strategies by (Erbil Municipality/1). The Discussion resulted in enhancing the rehabilitation opportunities of Taajeel by its conservation heritage areas, monuments and landmarks that shaped the local identity of Erbil City.
