A Student of Cihan University-Erbil Visits Berlin’s Body Worlds Museum in Germany
Hajar Kanaan, a third-year student in the Department of Physiotherapy at Cihan University-Erbil, visited Berlin’s Body Worlds Museum in Germany.
Berlin’s Body Worlds Museum was opened in 2015 by Dr. Angelina Whalley and Dr. Gunther von Hagens. It is known as one of the most special museums in the world, which gives its visitors a unique opportunity to peek under the skin of the human body. The main aim of the exhibits is to make people aware of the processes that happen inside the body every single day when they stand upright, move, breathe, laugh, and get diseases affecting the brain such as Alzheimer’s disease. Moreover, detailed and scientific explanations are provided in English and German.
Hajar Kanan inserted “When I was visiting different parts of the museum, my thinking and behavior towards human actions fundamentally changed as the museum explicitly depicts human anatomy”. In the end, she expressed her happiness as Cihan University-Erbil has provided her with the chance to visit Berlin’s Body Worlds Museum in Germany.
