A Visit by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics to the Directorate of Preventive Health Affairs

On 28 February 2022, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of Cihan University-Erbil consisted of the third-year students under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Omar Swar and Ms. Yusra visited the Directorate of Preventive Health Affairs, Erbil.

The objective of the visit was to increase the students’ understanding of the knowledge related to their bachelor’s degree programme that is required for their future careers. For instance; the students during the visit were provided with an in-depth explanation of how supervision and monitoring of foods mostly at all hotels and cafeterias in Erbil are carried out. Such explanation gives the students the opportunity to relate the prior knowledge that they have acquired from their theoretical courses at Cihan University-Erbil with the latest information they gained during the visit.
