A Workshop on “Empowering Students to Do Original Work”

On September 28th and 29th , 2021, A two-day workshop entitled “Empower students to do original work” was held by the Computer Science department with Heads of Departments to discuss how to empower students to avoid plagiarism and do original work. The workshop aimed to create rules and techniques to detect plagiarism and teach skills, train students to write their thoughts and think creatively.
With an attendance of Heads of Departments, the workshop was led by Mr. Mohammed Hussein Shukur, Head of Computer Science, some essential aspects were discussed in the workshop such as Plagiarism, Reasons Students Plagiarize, Techniques to spot plagiarism, and Legal Consequences of Plagiarism.
