Academic Supervisors Visited a Group of Students from General Education Department in their Teaching Practicum

The Department of General Education at Cihan University Erbil is committed to a clear mission: preparing its students to meet the demands of the labor market. To realize this objective, the department has introduced a distinctive program that provides students with a one-month teaching practicum opportunity at both private and government schools. This initiative enables students to effectively bridge the divide between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ultimately refining their teaching skills and significantly improving their employment prospects upon graduation.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, a team of visiting supervisors from the General Education Department paid a visit to the students participating in the teaching practicum. The visiting supervisors, including the Head of the Department of General Education, Dr. Ahmed Abd Aoun, Dr. Samrand Amini, and Assistant Lecturer Rozhan Ali Khdir, visited three different schools where five students were teaching. The students included Shadiman Subhi Jumaa at Charchaly Basic School, Hakar Khairulla Abdulrahman, Halaz Khairulla Abdulrahman at Azadi School for Girls, Sara Hasaneen Ali, and Aya Raid Abdulatif at Fenk School. The visiting supervisors monitored the students during their teaching practicum and provided them with valuable feedback and support. It’s important to note that further visits are planned in the coming weeks, with another team of academic supervisors scheduled to visit more students participating in the teaching practicum.

It’s worth highlighting that there are upcoming visits scheduled in the following weeks, during which another group of academic supervisors will be visiting additional students who are actively engaged in the teaching practicum.
