According to Clarivate Analytics Global Ranking; Cihan University-Erbil Ranks First in Engineering Among the Private Universities

In the latest global university rankings conducted by Clarivate for publishing documents and scientific research, the site WoS: Clarivate Analytics showed that Cihan University-Erbil is the first private university in the Kurdistan Region in engineering and the third among all governmental and private universities in the Kurdistan Region.

The site ranks the number of research papers and documents (WoS) for Kurdistan Region universities over the past five years (2019-2023). According to the data, researchers from Cihan University-Erbil have managed to publish 72 research papers with impact factors on the website.

Clarivate Analytics ranks published documents and research according to 27 fields. It also ranks universities worldwide in these fields. In this context, Cihan University-Erbil, which has four engineering departments supervised by high-level academic staff and publishes research annually on factors affecting various engineering fields and educating students, considers achieving this rank as another significant scientific accomplishment.

At the Iraqi level, the Iraqi Engineers Union annually conducts academic rankings for all engineering departments and colleges at all private universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region based on several scientific and academic criteria. In the 2022-2023 ranking, Cihan University-Erbil achieved the first place.
