Accounting Department Students Participate in a Scientific Visit to the Erbil Governorate

On Monday, January 26, 2026, the Accounting Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a scientific visit for third-year accounting students to the Erbil Governorate under the supervision of Lecturer Rebin Bilal Mohammed.

The students were warmly received by the Manager of Quality Assurance at the Erbil Governorate, Mr. Bashdar Yasen Perdawd. During the visit, the students were introduced to the practical aspects of public sector accounting and financial control. The Head of Accounts, Mr. Payam Sahde Ismahil, provided a detailed explanation of the governmental accounting system, focusing on budget preparation and execution, revenue and expenditure management, and financial reporting procedures within government institutions.

Special attention was given to the flow of accounting documents and official records, including payment orders, revenue vouchers, budget allocations, and internal reporting mechanisms. The coordination between administrative departments, financial units, and auditing bodies was clearly explained, emphasizing the vital role of accounting in ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with governmental regulations and laws.

At the end of the visit, Lecturer Rebin Bilal Mohammed expressed his sincere appreciation to the management and staff of the Erbil Governorate for their warm hospitality and valuable explanations.
