Accounting Department Students Visit FIB Erbil Bank
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, the Department of Accounting organized a scientific visit for a group of fourth-grade students to FIB Erbil Bank under the supervision of Lecturer Rebin Bilal Mohammed.
During the visit, the students were warmly received by Mr. Mohammed Fazl Sabir, Company Officer at FIB Erbil Bank, who later provided an informative overview of the bank’s organizational structure, key financial services, and the essential role of banking operations in supporting both individual clients and business sectors. He explained the procedures for account management, credit operations, electronic banking services, and the bank’s internal control systems, which are designed to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance.
Additionally, Mr. Mohammed highlighted how modern banking relies on integrated digital systems to record transactions, manage customer data, and support financial decision-making. He discussed how the bank monitors financial risks, maintains transparency, and prepares financial reports in accordance with standard accounting principles. The importance of ethical practices and professional responsibility within the banking sector was also emphasized.
The visit concluded with the students engaged in a productive discussion with Mr. Mohammed regarding the connection between academic knowledge of accounting and real banking operations.
