Prof. Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, Announces a Tuition-Fee Exemption for 631 First-Year Students.

As part of its long-term strategy to support academic excellence and alleviate the financial burden on families, Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, has approved various tuition fee waivers and discounts for 631 first-year students for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The announcement followed the issuance of 17 distinct university orders in February, signed by Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi. These orders finalized the list of high school graduates who successfully applied for scholarships across the university’s diverse scientific departments.

This initiative is based on Administrative Order No. 1763 (issued on October 11, 2017) by the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities, which aims to encourage high-achieving students to pursue their academic goals. The scholarships range from 15% to 100% of the total tuition fees, awarded to each student based on their high school grade point average (GPA) in accordance with the university’s established criteria.

On this occasion, the Presidency of Cihan University-Erbil congratulates all scholarship recipients and newly admitted first-year students. Recipients are urged to visit their respective departments to finalize administrative and financial procedures to commence their academic journey.
