The visit provided an opportunity for reflection on the atrocities committed against the Kurdish people during the Anfal campaign by the Ba’athist regime in Iraq.
The students were received by Mr. Shukrullah Awdal, Director and Supervisor of the monument, who delivered an informative presentation on its symbolic design and purpose. He emphasized the monument’s role in commemorating the victims and preserving their memory for future generations. He also noted that the monument will soon be officially opened to the public.
