Cihan University-Erbil Students Visit the Warsaw Uprising Museum
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, as part of the cultural and field activities integrated into their academic exchange programs in Poland, a group of students from Cihan University-Erbil conducted an educational visit to the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
The visiting group included Al-Ayham Salahaddin Basil, a third-year student from the Department of English Language, and Aland Sherzad Ibrahim, a second-year student from the Department of Computer Science, both of whom are currently completing an academic semester at the University of Lodz. They were joined by Rawa Abdulsattar Jabbar, a second-year student from the Department of Medical Microbiology, who is currently studying at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
During the visit, the tour provided students with the opportunity to explore various galleries and halls showcasing a wide collection of historical documents, photographs, and rare artifacts representing a pivotal period in Polish history. As one of the most significant historical landmarks in the capital, the museum enabled students to gain deeper insight into the cultural and humanitarian dimensions of Polish society, thereby broadening their understanding of contemporary European history.
At the end of the visit, the participating students expressed their satisfaction, emphasizing that learning about the history of other nations fosters a broader global perspective and enhances the social competencies required for international environments.
