Anesthesia Techniques Department Students Participates in the First Iraq Anesthesia Conference
A group of students from the Anesthesia Techniques Department at Cihan University – Erbil took part in the First Iraq Anesthesia Conference (IAC 2025), held on September 12–13, 2025, in Baghdad. The event was organized under the patronage of the Syndicate of Health Professions, in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Health, and in academic partnership with the NERDGENIC Foundation.
Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhsin Al-Ghazzi, Head of the Anesthesia Techniques Department, third-year students actively engaged in the conference sessions. The scientific gathering brought together professors, specialist doctors, students, and graduates from anesthesia departments across Iraqi universities, highlighting the latest advancements and techniques in the field of anesthesia.
The participating students: Saadi Ahmed Saadi, Menna Allah Diaa Mohammed, Aya Anwar Mohammed Ali, Di Bassem Mohammed, Sara Arkan Jamil, and Saeed Amer Mohammed contributed to panel discussions, workshops, and other academic activities. Through their participation, they gained valuable exposure to cutting-edge scientific research, the professional healthcare environment, and opportunities to build networks with national specialists and experts.
The conference featured a series of research presentations addressing both theoretical and practical developments in anesthesia within Iraq. For the students, it served as an important step in preparing for future professional roles, offering them direct insight into the evolving demands of the job market.
At the closing ceremony, the Cihan University – Erbil delegation was awarded certificates of appreciation and participation, recognizing their active involvement and their contribution to enriching the scientific discussions and activities of the conference.
