Anesthesia Techniques Department Students Visit Alliance Med Hospital for Clinical Exposure
On Thursday, 5 February 2026, third-stage students visited Alliance Med Hospital in Erbil as part of the university’s commitment to enhancing practical training and linking theoretical knowledge with clinical application.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Ihsan Ahmed, with the participation of fifteen male and female students. Upon arrival, the students were received by Dr. Saman Hussein Abdulrahman, a specialist in pediatric surgery, who delivered an introductory briefing outlining the hospital tour plan.
The visit included a field tour of several medical departments, including the Radiology Department, the Pediatric Dental Care Unit, and patient wards, where students were introduced to healthcare facilities and medical equipment currently in use. They also became familiar with resuscitation carts, emergency equipment, and vital signs monitoring devices. The tour further covered the Emergency Department and its various units, and concluded with a visit to the medical laboratory, where students were introduced to laboratory equipment and received practical training on proper blood sampling techniques.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Head of the Anesthesia Techniques Department expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the administration of Alliance Med Hospital and to Dr. Saman Hussein Abdulrahman for their warm reception and valuable scientific cooperation, which contributed significantly to the success of the visit.
