Another batch of Cihan University-Erbil students arrived in Poland to finish a course as part of the Erasmus+ scholarship program
On Saturday, February 22, 2024, two students from Cihan University-Erbil were transported through Erbil International Airport to Warsaw, Poland.
Following the last session, two students from Cihan University-Erbil were nominated based on several criteria established by Erasmus Plus and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland. The students, Nian Osman Muhammad Salih from the Nutrition and Dietetics Department and Abdul Rahman Yarab from the Biomedical Department arrived in Poland to finish their course of study.
The only prestigious private university in the Kurdistan Region is Cihan University in Erbil. It has an identity number (PIC) of 907654415, is completely registered with the European Commission, and is the only university of its kind. Through this registration, universities of joint countries and higher education institutions, such as Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland, Ondokuz Mayis University, and Mardin University in Turkey, can present and receive prizes within the framework of EU scientific projects.
All students at Cihan University-Erbil have already been informed that two students have been nominated for this academic year (2023–2024) as a result of the university’s announcement of several study chairs for finishing a course at Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Erasmus Plus is a European Union initiative that refers to the active strategy of the European community for the movement and exchange of academic professionals and students. The main objective of the program, which was established in 1987 for the field of education and training, is to increase the capacity of higher education institutions globally.
Erasmus Plus is a program that fosters chances for collaboration and exchange between various nations in the fields of youth and higher education. It is aimed to benefit the European Union and its partners, particularly those that make use of talent.
